"The author writes gently for those who are unable to conceive and for those who are childless because they have lost a baby during pregnancy. This also a "must read" for those who would like to learn more about infertility and the loss of a baby during pregnancy to support those who are struggling. She also explains various solutions from medical interventions such as using fertility drugs, through artificial insemination (ART) to adoption. She not only introduces them but also examines them from a biblical perspective: What kind of moral dilemmas do couples face? Are these medical procedures optimal choices for those couples who do not want to give up their convictions? What does the Bible say? And where is God when it hurts so much? A book about the pain often carried in silence and about dreams that are lost along with the child when a pregnancy is lost. It touches your heart while introducing the emotional rollercoaster that infertile couples ride, lets you examine yourself, and guides through the labyrinth of medical tests and offered solutions. Its empathic tone makes you feel being understood and gives you hope and trust in the love and care of God.”
– Tapolyai Emőke, psychologist
“This book opened my eyes to see the struggle and the emotional stress that had been hidden from me till now. It made me think about my medical attitude. I have gained new insights which helped me understand infertile women’s behavior, reactions, and vulnerability. I hope that more theologians will dare to face the enormous issue of Assisted Human Reproduction, and dare to guide those who turn to them.”
– Dr. Tolnay Lajos, obstetrician, gynecologist
Many would give everything in order to hold their baby in their arms. Many questions, sometimes desperation or anger may arise inside of them if this dream doesn't come true. This book brings help, guidance, and hope to these people. Hope, indeed. Because I do believe that despite the difficult journey, everyone can find the way to the child God wants to send.
– Szenczy Katalin, leader of The Hungarian Baptist Aids's Adoption Program
